Tikal Gold has been created from 10 producer’s coffees. The producers have small-holdings and in order to achieve a higher price have pooled together their best pickings and created a bigger ‘lot’. The extra income they received will be used to reinvest in their small-holdings and wet mills. With these improvements, it is hoped that they can produce higher quality coffee next year.
